After School years 1 to 3

The School offers a place in Kristallen (in the main building) for pupils in classes 1en, 2en and 3en for parents working, studying or looking for work and living in Stockholm. There are about fifty children enrolled.

You can get an application form in the school office or download from this page (in Swedish). You may have to wait up to three months for a vacancy.

You pay 2% of your income, maximum 840 kr/month for the first child. For the second and third child it is 1% and max. 420 kr/month.

There is one month's written notice on a specific form to leave Kristallen.

Kristallen is open from the end of lessons until 18:00.

If you need care from 7:00 to 8:00 you have to go to the Swedish after-school activity club, Röde Orm.

If you live in another municipality other than Stockholm, there is no guarantee that they will pay the fees charged by Stockholm's municipality. Before the child can start, a contract must be written and signed by the municipality where you live stating that they will pay the fee.

Kristallen closes once a month at 16:00 for a planning meeting. We ask the parents to fetch their children early on those days. If it is not possible for you to do this, please inform staff in advance and then the Swedish Röde Orm will take care of them.

The time spent in Kristallen is a complement to the school day. It is a time for: field trips, playing in the schoolyard, gym and indoor activities such as painting, baking etc. They will also have time for doing their homework. The playing part of the time is very important for the children. They are outdoors at least 30-60 minutes every afternoon.

If you have questions about the afternoon care or if you want to enrol your child, you can contact the assistant principal Malin Levelius on 08-508 44 803 or e-mail: malin.levelius@stockholm.se
